How To Post Minutes

Follow these steps to post your committee’s meeting minutes on the Meeting Minutes webpage of the ANSS website.

Uploading the Minutes

1.  Log in to WordPress and go to the ANSS Dashboard

2.  On the left,  under Media select Add New

3.  Click on Select Files to browse for the minutes document. It is preferable for the minutes to be saved as a PDF file.  This is the same process as attaching a document to an email.

4. The document will load and a form will appear allowing you to alter the title of the document, add a caption or description.

5.  The URL for the document you just loaded is at the bottom of the screen.  Before you click away from the screen, copy this URL.

Posting the Minutes to the Meeting Minutes page

1.  The next step in the process is to post the minutes to the Meeting Minutes page.  The easiest way to get to this page is by 1) clicking the ANSS link on the top of the dashboard page (this will take you to the ANSSWeb Homepage), 2) Click on Meeting Minutes on the black toolbar.

2.  When you on the Meeting Minutes page, scroll to the bottom of the page.  There is an Edit link, click on this to be taken to the edit page.

3.  On the edit page, determine where your minutes should be listed.  Under the appropriate year, appropriate meeting, and alpha order by committee.

4. Type in your committee in the following convention:  Name of the Committee Minutes – Midwinter year   (eg. Bibliography Committee Minutes – Annual 2010)

5.  With your mouse highlight the text, and click on the link icon in the menu.

6.  In the form, paste the URL for the document and name the document.

7. Click Okay.

8.  The text in the editor should now appear to be a link.

9.  Click Publish on the right hand menu.  Ta Da!  Now you have posted your minutes!
