ANSSWeb is published through the sponsorship of the Anthropology and Sociology Section of ACRL/ALA. It is used as medium of communication for the members of ANSS and to provide information to other parties interested in resources regarding anthropology, sociology and related disciplines. Although responsibility for content and editing rests with the Publications Committee of ANSS, ANSSWeb is not published nor maintained by ALA or ACRL.
ANSSWeb was first published at Yale University and moved to Old Dominion University in March 1996. ANSSWeb then resided on the ALA/ACRL web site, where it was maintained with the Collage software. In January of 2011, ANSSWeb moved to WordPress.com. The current ANSSWeb Editor is Erin Gratz.
